A MOTHER IS A WOMAN FIRST 

On Mother's Day, take time to honour yourself — as a woman before, and beyond, becoming a mother.

You may have children at home, be navigating the ‘empty nest’, welcoming ‘bonus’ children through a new relationship, or embracing life as a grandmother. You may be moving through menopause, adjusting to new needs and rhythms of being. You may feel your caring heart reaching beyond the family, seeking other ways to contribute to the world.

This special day offers space for you to be held in love — to fill up your own cup — and to share with other women.

Mothers and grandmothers are essential caretakers of life and the heart in a world that can feel hard and disconnected.

It is challenging to feel safe and strong, holding an open, loving heart.
Every woman needs a community of women that understands, nourishes her roots and encourages her to flourish.

EMBODIED FEMININE WISDOM

We begin with a gentle, joyful embodiment practice to reconnect with your breath, body, and heart. Through intuitive, sensual and playful movement, we’ll awaken vitality, soften emotional tension, and create space within for deeper presence and acceptance. This is time to nourish yourself from the inside out — grounding into your womanhood and celebrating your journey.

 

 
PICNIC LUNCH - WALK & SWIM

Enjoy a relaxing lunch break together by the lake, a walk and perhaps even a dip for the daring ones!

CREATIVE REFLECTION

In the afternoon, we listen through meditation, rest and breath-led practices. Interspersed with flow writing, intuitive art and crafts, you’ll explore the words, shapes and colours of your inner world — using your hands to give expression to the wisdom, tenderness, and power within. A warm-hearted and nurturing space to honour all that you are, and all that you are becoming, in the company of kindred women.

Georgina Laiya Peard

Georgina is a gifted and experienced body-heart-soul whisperer and priestess of sacred space. She is a certified Advanced Restorative Yoga Teacher, and Teacher for the Stages of Menopause, as well as an experienced massage therapist and Circle facilitator. She has been running group retreats internationally for 14 years, and Rest to Rise is her signature work since 2012! 

Driven by deep sensitivity and a compassionate heart, Georgina creates experiences for men and women to feel a deepening sense of safety, connection, belonging, love and freedom in their bodies, in relationships, in community, and on the Earth.

Loved the safety of the group - made me feel I am not the only one feeling detached and in need of some menopausal self care - and some reawakening on all levels - makes me question my assumption and experience that my sexuality just floated away from me when I turned 50! Perhaps middle aged people can have fulfilling experiences again! It was good therefore to be in a group of women and to think about feminine energy in an upside down world. Thanks again.

So, in a nutshell, I loved discovering restorative yoga, which I knew nothing about. Loved your guidance through the workshop, well brought to us, step by step, from active winding down to an innerstate of safety and openesse. I discovered your art of using all those props to create this sense of being held, feeling safe. A big warm loving hug and my gratitude.
